Taking place from late November until mid March on Fridays during Roy’s during Happy Hour, our raffle raises about $150 weekly.
People are very generous in donating prizes for the draws.
Through specialized donations for this cause, AARF was able to provide free vaccine clinics and dog washes on several occassions. St. James School of Medicine students along with AARF volunteers gave baths and veterinarians prodvided health checks, educational brochures, free health services.
AARF was supported by Tito’s vodka, Devil Bloody Mary Mix and International Wines and Spirits which facilitated a cocktail bar with sales matched by Tito’s. There was also a raffle and merchandise stand. The total raised from the event was over US$3,500.
AARF’s first fundraiser sponsored by Tito’s Vodka called was AARF on the Rocks on Dec 16, 2018 buffet Waves Beach bar. Tito’s Vodka matched all funds raised at the event by ticket sales and additional Tito’s Vodka drink sales. Music was donated by DJ Dirty Matt. Funds raised that day came to $1,500. More funds were raised later by t-shirt sales at the shelter.
Retreat AXA donated studio and teaching time in order to run beginners classes to raise money for the shelter. They also included donations from boutique and juice sales on that day.
